Owning Earth is an ambitious, two-year outdoor exhibition in the Sculpture Garden at Unison Arts, New Paltz, NY. It will help bring critical attention to an emerging movement of creative practitioners undertaking outdoor installations and land-based projects that problematize notions of control, confront systems of domination, and prepare the soil for futures guided by mutuality and reverence.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a robust series of public events and workshops developed by the artists in partnership with numerous Hudson Valley-based organizations aiming to bolster a just and regenerative bioregion.
Chemical Delusion
Arts on Douglas, Atlantic Center for the Arts, September 4th – October 16th 2021. Chemical Delusion, examines the research and development of alternative material processes where live bacteria generate graphic imagery. A collection of large scale watercolor paintings, prints, and drawings inspired by the exploration of concepts, processes, and materials form the foundation of this experimental approach towards alternative media, and biological art.
